Meet Shanira
As a first-generation Afro-Latina, I grew up in spaces where people carried everything quietly. There weren't many places where you could slow down, be honest about what you were feeling, and actually be seen. I noticed that early and I never stopped noticing.
That's why I became a therapist. And that's why I built SoulWave.
I'm Shanira Griffith, LCSW — a bilingual therapist licensed in New York and Utah. I created this practice for the people who are tired of just surviving, the ones holding it all together on the outside while quietly falling apart on the inside.
My Philosophy & Approach
SoulWave is intentionally small and deeply personal. I didn't build this practice to see as many clients as possible. I built it to see the right ones; deeply, intentionally, and on their terms.
My work is relational, grounded in mindfulness, and rooted in the mind-body connection. I blend classic clinical techniques with a more soulful, human approach because healing doesn't just happen through talking. It happens when your whole self feels safe enough to let go.
This is a space where you can slow down, breathe, and start exploring the patterns and stories you've been carrying, so you can begin writing new ones that actually feel like yours.
Who I work with
My clients are professionals, creatives, caregivers, and leaders who look like they have it all figured out. They're high-achieving, driven, and emotionally intelligent but privately dealing with anxiety that won't quit, burnout that's been building for years, grief they haven't had space to process, or depression that hides behind a full calendar.
If you're the person everyone leans on but nobody checks on, you're exactly who I built this practice for.
